pranaDOGS Mission
pranaDOGS empowers individuals to build positive
relationships with their adopted dogs, rehabilitates
dogs for shelters and rescues, and provides education
to both pets and their people, so they can thrive together.
Our Philosophy
After decades working in Animal Welfare, pranaDOGS Founder, Marcy Eckhardt
knew what was needed: a place where dogs could get a little extra time and
training to find their footing and develop positive coping mechanisms.
"So many of the dogs in shelters never got set up for success;
often they're undersocialized, underexercised and many
never learned good communication skills."
pranaDOGS was launched in 2017 to give dogs an opportunity to heal,
learn and grow at their own pace. We work with Shelters, Rescues and
Humane Societies to take in dogs who need a little extra time, training or
coping mechanisms. We let them decompress, help them learn, build their
confidence and once they're ready, make them available for adoption.
